Clearly, my waning interest in slashdot, and a general desire to do everything and nothing all at once is a good indiciation that I need to get the hell off this continent (aside: does that make me incontinent?) for awhile.
I've always wanted to go to NZ, and no, not because of LOtR or anything like that. It just always seemed like a gorgeous place that didn't receive much attention. It seemed to me like the underdog of tourist destinations, and tho that may have changed with all the LOtR silliness, it should be noted that I'm a rabid fan of the underdog.
I'm probably going to get my Technic 1200s this week. I'm going to sell a bunch of stuff too. Mostly games, back to EB Games, but hopefully I can dump my Gemini Pro mixer and Stanton cartridges without too much trouble either. If anybody knows anyone who wants one hell of a deal, I'll give them my Gemini turntables, Stantons, and mixer for 350$. I bought the tables and mixer for 600$ and paid another 200$ for the Stantons, so its a decent deal. One note: the tables are beginner tables .. suitable for mixing, but not for scratching. If you're an aspiring Kid Koala, I urge you to move on, but say you wanna spin some techno records and feel like a star, the Stantons and mixer alone make the deal worth it. Just dump the turntables for better ones when you wanna start gigging.
