word war three

Good day today (and yesterday). Worked abit, generally kept busy.

This whole war thing bores me to pieces. I think the advantage of up-to-the-minute internet coverage of the war is that people can read the 'news' while its still unconfirmed. It's like cnn.com, or abcnews.com, or whatever, was *made* to fan the flames of hot-button internet debate. "US Finds suspected 'huge' chemical weapons plant" turns into "US Finds 'huge' chemical weapons plant" on fark.com. Then the same old rhetorical BS is posted by both 'sides', and by the time the 200th posting hits the thread, everybody has forgotten why they're now knee-deep in flamebait. Thats what I'm talkin about. Yawn. Call me tommorow, a day after something happens, and let me know what the important news is.

I spoke to Stephanie on the phone tonight. I hope Joanna forgives the huge blight that's going to appear on her telephone bill. >:)

I was thinking of my friend Raquel today. I'm nearly finished "Life of Pi", and I'm very much interested in taking her up on her offer and having lunch with her and discussing the book. Don't worry, I won't be joining any Oprah book clubs anytime soon.

Being out of work isn't really like being out of work. I have plenty of contract work to do on the side, so things are looking less uncertain than they were Thursday afternoon.

Peace 'n love to all my homies. I have some mad new music on the burner, so keep your eyes on the mp3 bar to the left for somethin new before I take off on a jet plane ...
