One month ago, out of the blue, I got this concept in my head for an end table that I wanted in my livingroom. I mentioned it to my dad, and he helped me find a workable method for constructing the shape and profile that I was looking for.
In the end, its built from 35 feet of plain old pine 2x4s. I stained it a mahoganny stain. The only down side is that it's somewhat heavy. Two weekends and a well worn belt sander later, I ended up with this.

The forth picture, is, of course, a picture of me with the classic 'look what I just built' expression.
